Mohs Histotechnician:

Histo Pros is a Mohs and Histology consulting company with experienced trainers in Mohs workshop settings that offers onsite training, technician coverage, CLIA compliance and documentation, lab design, IHC expertise, and histology support services. We are looking for a hardworking, detail-oriented technician/technologist willing to travel. Opportunities across the U.S.

Responsibilities include:

• Mohs frozen section preparation - mapping, labeling, grossing, inking, embedding, sectioning, staining and cover slipping
• Permanent section preparation - grossing, labeling, processing, embedding in parrafin, sectioning, staining and cover slipping
• Proper organizing and storage of slides
• Routine maintenance and cleaning of histology equipment and material

Job Requirements:

• Ability to communicate effectively with physicians, staff, and management.
• Knowledge of healthcare and Pathology terminology.
• Must be reliable.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to pay close attention to detail.
• Problem solving/troubleshooting skills.
• Willing to travel (Reimbursement for travel expenses included).

Job Type:

Contract/Per diem/PRN

Experience:

• Mohs Technician: 2 years (Preferred)
• Laboratory: 1 year (Preferred)
• HTL/HT Certification (a plus)

Pay:

Commensurate with experience
